A DANCE school in Harwich had several winners at a national event.
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) National Dance Finals were held on Sunday, December 5.
Boogie Shoes Dance Academy attended the event and had five winners that day.
Sienna Bowler won two events, the Under-Eight Dance by herself and the Under-Eight Rock and Roll with her partner Faith Rayner.
Morgan Childs won the solo section, and Becky Saunders was also the solo winner.
Special mention goes to Donna King who at 42 competed in the over 21 section and placed above many younger competitors.
The Boogie Shoes Dance Academy was established in 2006, teaching over 200 students ever since.
The academy did not close during the pandemic as classes were held in zoom meetings.
The students resumed competition in June 2021 on the zoom in fixed dance and rock and roll dance, then the regional playoffs before the national final.
Boogie Shoes helped 83 students reach the national final and 30 students finished.
Classes at Boogie Shoes resume on January 6, ages range from 18 months to adulthood.
